RDA North: Monitoring visits of projects ongoing in Falesti and Biruinta

A group of experts from the Northern Regional Development Agency (RDA North) conducted two monitoring visits to the cities of Falesti and Biruinta on Tuesday, June 7th to see the the ongoing projects.

Falesti. It's about the project: "Supplying the City Falesti with river water from the Prut." This project was applied for by the Falesti District Council. The total project budget is 18,757,311.2 lei, of which 11,357,311.2 lei comes from the National Fund for Regional Development (NFRD). The planned implementation period for this project is 18 months.

The overall objective of the project is too strengthen regional cooperation in Falesti to ensure accesss to drinking water. Other goals of the project are to develop sanitation services for the population in Falesti and also create opportunities for the localities and districts of Ungheni and Glodeni in a regional context of sustainable management of water resources.

Biruinta. The project applicant is the mayor's office from the city Biruinta in the district of Singerei. The project is called: "Finishing the polygon construction for the the accumulation of waste, waste sorting and recovery of waste for the three municipalities (7 locations): The city of Biruinta, Alexandreni (villages: Alexandreni, Heciul Vechi, Grigoresti, Tiplești, Tipletesti) and the village Heciul Nou." The total amount of the project is 6,091,195.00 lei, of which 4,287,617.76 lei is from the NFRD. The implementation period is scheduled to take 11 months.

The overall objective of the project in Biruinta is the creation at regional level of an integrated solid waste management for the seven localities.

Following the monitoring visits, the experts found that the RDA North mentioned projects are being implemented according to plan and planned the next stage of implementation and monitoring of the projects.
