First contracts signed under JOP Ro-Ua-Md 2007-2013 in Northern Region

Contracts were signed for a Joint Operational Program between Romania, Ukraine and Moldova for 2007 to 2013.

Following the decision of the Joint Monitoring Committee there was an allocation 7.6 million Euro. This is to finance a number of the 62 projects submitted from the first call for proposals within the Priority 3 "Cooperation between man and man" Program JOP Romania-Ukraine-Moldova 2007-2013.

From the list of projects funded there are two projects in the northern region of Moldova. The project submitted by the District Council Soroca efficient management and administrative efficiency "and the " cross-border network for organic agriculture " implemented by AO Cutezătorul Falesti City.

Managing Authority, with the support of JTS initiated the process of contracting such projects. These primarily consist of the following steps: making field visits to project leaders precontracting by experts from STC, verifying supporting documents submitted by applicants and preparation phase of the contract and signing contracts.

These projects involve partners, including project leaders from all three countries involved in the Ro-Ua-Md and have a clear cross-border impact. Beneficiaries of projects are either institutions / agencies, including local authorities or private non-profit, non-government type.

There are software projects that support greater interaction between people and communities living in border regions. These have different types of activities: educational initiatives, social and cultural exchange programs, including administrative exchanges, raising awareness, networking / networking, transfer of best practices, etc.
