Northern RDA results. Semester I, 2011 (press conference)

Northern Regional Development Agency (RDA North) held Wednesday, July 27 this year, a press conference in which RDA Director, Ion Bodrug, presented the journalists the most important results and activities of the Agency in the first half of this year.

In this sense, RDA North Director referred to the following activities of the Agency:

1. The launch of five regional development projects:

a) "City boasts water supply Prut";
b) "Completion of construction to build polygon, sorting and recovery of household waste for the three municipalities";
c) "Renovation of international regional road M14 through town. Edinet";
d) "Connecting the Free Economic Zone" Balti "to municipal utilities: water, sewage, electricity, access roads";
e) "Quality water and sewerage services in the city Otaci for a clean environment in the North".

2. Projects to be launched:

• "Opening the large community business incubator - an important factor in the active employment measures activities of youth in the region";
• "Establish a system of integrated solid waste management in North Region."

3. Working with the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ)

• Support the implementation of two projects:

a) "Provide water and sewerage services to villagers of Duruitoarea Veche village, Costesti, Riscani rayon";
b) "Project Title: Street Lighting in village Tătărăuca Veche, Soroca".

• Study visit to Soldanesti, where it was presented a sanitation project

• Development of local capacities (seminars).

c) Workshop on Riscani.

4. Training Programs

4.1. "Capacity Development for Regional Development and Cross Border Cooperation in Moldova" (GIZ).

• Implementation period: 24 months, amount: 300 thousand euros.
