Establishment of the Regional Council meeting for Northern Development in Bălți

Northern Regional Development Agency (RDA North) held a meeting of the Regional Council for Northern Development (RCD North). The first meeting of the new composition of RCD North was held Tuesday, September 13th, in the meeting room of the SE "Registry".

RCD North Regional Development and Construction Minister, Marcel Răducan, members of RCD North and specialists from the RDA North, attended the meeting.

"I wish the Northern Region reach the first place. Despite the problems, we have had. We have practical results in all districts, which are part of the NRD," said Minister of Regional Development and Construction, Marcel Raducan, in his speech.

RDA North Director, Ion Bodrug, referred to the importance of co-operation in the RCD North and the new composition of this structure. According to the Director, the RDA North is only part of the people who will contribute to the RDN. "I am fully responsible to assure you that we want a very intensive collaboration with local public administration, civil society and business in the region. I am firmly convinced that together we will become the first region of the country's development", said Ion Bodrug.

At its first meeting the new members of the RCD North voted unanimously for the President and Vice President. Riscani district president, Ion Parea, is the new President of RCD North and Glodeni district president, Valeriu Ţarigradschi, was elected Vice President of North RCD. RDA North Director, Ion Bodrug , will serve as the secretary. As a representative of RCD North for National Coordination Council for Regional Development (CNCDR) the director of LLC "Red-Lux" in Singerei, Nicolae Moraru, was elected.

Also at the meeting establishing the RCD North composition the Executive office of RCD North was voted on, which includes presidents of all 11 districts, the mayor of Balti, mayor of Petreni, the district of Drochia, Director of Contact-Bălți, Director of SRL-Balti "Red-Lux." Towards the end of the meeting, members of the RCD were informed about the activities of the RDA North.

RCD Northern Region is a deliberative structure without legal personality, formed to develop, coordinate and monitor regional policy in the Northern Development Region (RDN) consisting of Balti and the districs of Briceni, Dondușeni, Drochia, Edineț, Fălești, Florești , Glodeni, Ocnița, Rîșcani, Sîngerei and Soroca.

The Regional Council has 48 members, components consisting of presidents of districts, mayor of Bălți and one representative of associations of mayors, civil society and private sector in each district and municipality of NDR.
