• Campaign to inform citizens about the activities of North RDA
• Dates: July 5 to December 15, 2012

North Regional Development Agency launches the information campaign "Know the North Region", a contest for media institutions (national or local) for the active promotion of North RDA activities, the institution responsible for developmental policies in the northern region of Moldova.

The main purpose of the contest is to enhance the role of media outlets (print, radio and TV) in the dissemination of information to the public about the activities of North RDA, activities will be announced in advance on the website: www.adrnord.md.

Local and national media institutions (radio, TV, print) are invited to take part in the contest. The work they perform will contribute to the public's first-hand understanding of information, which is a prerequisite for the sustainable development of society. In addition, the work will help disseminate objective and reliable information about the process of regional development in Moldova. It will promote positive experiences or perhaps negative experiences in regional development field, documented at the regional, national, or international level.

At the conclusion of the contest, the top three journalists will be awarded prizes of electronics worth a combined 6000 lei: 1^st place will receive a prize valued at 3000 lei, 2^nd place will receive a prize valued at 2000 lei, and 3^rd place will receive a prize valued at 1000 lei. The specific details are forthcoming.

For the contest, materials must be presented, published, or broadcast between July 5 and December 15, 2012.

Materials for the contest will be judged on the following criteria:

• The frequency of distribution/publication/broadcast of materials;
• Sources cited;
• Reliability of coverage.

Required! Links to materials for the competition (or audio / video) must be sent, with date of issue to: pr.adrnord@gmail.com. Only materials submitted to the e-mail address will be considered for the contest.

In the case publications only appear in print they may be mailed (or submitted personally), originals or photocopies, with date of publication to the following address: Agenția de Dezvoltare Regională Nord; Piața Vasile Alecsandri 8A; etaj 2; MD-3100; mun. Bălți, Republica Moldova. Also, the materials appearing only in print may be scanned together with the date publication, and sent to the e-mail above.
